Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and innovative Continuous Improvement Specialist for a kitting factory located in Newark, California. This role is essential for driving process improvements and fostering a culture of operational excellence. The focus will be on identifying efficiency opportunities, implementing best practices, and enhancing productivity across the factory.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, quality, delivery, cost, and safety in the kitting factory.
- Analyze current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and increase efficiency.
- Responsible for file creation for digital machines.
- Develop, document, and implement Kaizen projects to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Train and mentor new employees on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support innovation and new product development by defining manufacturing processes to support the introduction of new products and solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools.
Minimum Experience and Education Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 2 - 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings/documents.
- Experience working with corrugate, foam, and/or other traded materials.
- Proven experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in packaging or kitting.
Languages
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to speak Spanish is helpful.

Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 1st shift
Benefits
Pay is $28.00 per hour, with an annual range of $56,000 to $58,240.
